Underwent hip replacement surgery on Tuesday, November 19. Except for some excruciating pain with urination related to anesthesiology issues, all went well. Ambulated from one end of the hospital complex to the other twice the first day of the surgery, took care of toilet needs without assistance that day and evening, walked again the second day and also discharged that day. Able to get up in the night and go to the bathroom without awakening Sandi. Go each morning to mailbox and retrieve paper for her. Just a blowing and a going. Plan to attend Sunday school tomorrow, the 24th. Reading Toni Morrison’s Home and working on the ending of a novel, Q: The Lost Gospel.
